3/4 shot of the LS388

The LS388 couples leading-edge tread design with an advanced silica compound for a fuel-efficient drive.

  • Advanced tread compound for outstanding grip and minimal rolling resistance
  • Combined grooves for enhanced wet-weather performance
  • Optimised pitch alignment for superior noise reduction
Enhanced Stability Exceptional Wet-Weather Grip Low Noise
Wet-Grip Groove Design
Four wide, longitudinal grooves channel road water, while lateral grooves work to direct it out from under the tyre
High Stability Centring Rib
The solid rib in the centre of the tyre ensures straight-line driving stability
Low Tread Wear Shoulder Design
The shoulder is integrated with heat-resisting bars to keep the tread blocks stable and protect them from irregular wear. For the same reason, the design also improves high-speed cornering stability
Fuel Saving Tread Compound
The LS388’s advanced tread compound reduces rolling resistance, which helps boost fuel efficiency and lower exhaust emissions
Quiet-Ride Pitch Alignment
Optimised tread pitch width and alignment for quiet resonance and reduced road noise

Understanding The EU Tyre Label

Fuel Efficiency

Rolling resistance has a direct impact on fuel consumption. A tyre's rolling resistance score ranges from A to E. Over the life of the tyre, fitting an A rated tyre could save you up to 6 litres more fuel every 625 miles - when compared to a E rated tyre.

Wet Grip

A tyre's wet grip capacity is expressed in Grades from A to E. The difference in braking distances between each grade is roughly 3m - an average car length. This makes average stopping distance between an A and E rated tyre 18m. That's 4 car lengths.

Noise Levels

The exterior noise grade of a tyre is expressed in decibels - accompanied by a grade ranging from A to B, with A being the best noise level performance.
